Rainbow by China Glaze

I believe this is the first iridescent polish that Ive shown. As you know, I tend to gravitate towards the creme, and now shimmer finishes of polish, but this shade took me back! In the nineties when i was a teen, Cotton Candy by Sation was a very popular color here in Philly. Either you had this color, 10 nail airbrush or an American Manicure back in the day!

It was hard to capture the brilliance of this multifaceted shade, but this is my best shot. It kinda looks pearl white with pink, blue, and green highlights in it. Depending on the angle you’re looking from, it looks like any of those colors. It’s really a nice, calm, yet exciting color. Perfect for work. I like it a lot.

It’s a sheer shade, and that’s to be expected with a color like this. I probably could have kept adding coats to make it more opaque, but I think the sheerness adds to the beauty. I didn’t mind the visible nail line at all with this shade. I applied 2 coats with Seche Vite. Enjoy!

Yes, iridescent ones always take you back to being 15. lol
See I’m trying to get away from that and go cream, but this
shade and one I saw in a mag the other day has me thinking
I could do it w/out looking 16 yrs old. lol.

Is China Glaze your preferred polish?

I really don’t have a favorite brand yet. I just happened to buy a lot of China Glaze in the last month or so.. I have more O.P.I. colors than anything else, but I haven’t even shown yet because most of them are so dark and it’s Spring!

Yeah I do remember cotton candy nails. EVERYBODY had them, including me. That was my signature color for a while. Looks good on you, I’ll have to look for this. It’s so pretty on you too.
